The Fam Bam
Hey peoples. So now I'm in Germany with my family. So far it's been really awesome. Our Christmas dinner was HUGE and delicious as anything I've ever tasted. Opening the prezzies with everyone around was something that I'll never forget and the moment that Ecki gave Irene a beautiful watch for Christmas was priceless. I've enjoyed every second and it's been the best experience. Last night there was a party for the "Aussies" which was so much fun. Whenever us kids managed to get the dancing music on we danced & danced & danced. We danced until 11.30pm which is when we sung 'Waltzing Matilda' and went home. I also met two of my second cousins Felix and Kyra who are really really nice. We took many photos and definitely captured the memories. I hope the rest of our time here will be as good as what it's been like so far. Bye everyone.

The 10 Things
Hey. I got this idea from Maddy, but I'm doing it a little different. I'm not really in a complaining mood so I'm going to say the 10 things that mean everything to me. Ok, here goes.
1. My friends. The bestest ones being Maddy & Nat. My friends mean the absolute world to me and I have no idea what I would do without them. My friends here in Switzerland, I'm going to miss more than anything, but I'm as excited as hell to see me friends in Australia again.
2. My family. Even though they get on my nerves, I love them to bits. Each one of them means something to different to me, and the absence of any of them would be extremely crap. They've been there with me forever and I can't imagine them not being there.
3. My computer. It is seriously unimaginable what I would do without it. It lets me keep in contact with friends & family. Msn is genius and I couldn't go a day without it, especially here in Switzerland. It's plain awesome.
4. My phone. The ability to text & phone people whenever I want is the ability to fly. I love having a phone and I've missed it so much. The only problem is I tend to spend my money quite easily on it. But I love it.
5. My iPod. Music is a huge part of my life, if it was missing, I'd have a blank. The iPod is a way to put all of my favourite music on the same device and take my music everywhere. Genius.
6. My food. I can't go without eating, it's just so damn delicious. That's part of the problem though, just if it weren't so delicious. Then there wouldn't be so many problems with me eating it all. Well, we do need it to live but I wish chocolate tasted like brussel sprouts.
7. My clothes. Seriously, I couldn't be one of those to walk around naked, I just don't go that way. No offence to people who reckon it's "natural", I just think clothes are needed. If you want to walk around naked go to a nude beach.
8. My jewelery. I'm not a big girly girl but I do love my jewelery so much! Earrings are my babies but I love necklaces too. Rings are ok, but I could live without them. I just love to walk around with a new pair of earrings or a necklace from a person I love. I love novelty earrings, they're fun to wear and look awesome!
9. My books. They take me away from the world I'm in and it's an unexplainable feeling to sit down with a book you absolutely love for hours on end. For me those are Twilight & Harry Potter. I could sit down at any time and read those again.
10. My TV and movies. Sitting down and enjoying a good movie is so relaxing. Or sitting down in front of your favourite tv show, it's so mindnumbingly relaxing. The only problem is it distracts me from doing more important things such as homework.
So those were my 10 important things. I reckon I've probably missed something but these are extremely important things to me. I hope everyone enjoyed this blog. Also, Hannah has helped me write this so I should just say I LOVE HER! Ok, bye.

Where the Wild Things are
Hey everyone. Just a regular update on random things. Nanna brought my English and my English Lit books over from Australia. They're called 'A Lesson Before Dying' - Ernest J. Gains, 'Emma' - Jane Austen and 'Washington Square' - Henry James. We also have 'Much Ado About Nothing' and another one by Shakespeare. I've finished 'A Lesson Before Dying' (which is for English) and I'm about a quarter of the way through 'Washington Square'. Oh the funness. Today was massively boring. I had Handicraft in the morning at 7.15 where I continued making my scarf, then I came home for a bit and then back to school again. I had a maths test which I had no idea about, again. At lunchtime we set up the beds for the Singletons who will be arriving tonight or tomorrow. :D After lunch I had English and I watched my class give speeches on different English speaking countries. It was so cute! It was funny because the people that I thought would do well didn't do so well, and the people I didn't expect to do well, did better than the others. It was good to watch but next week I've got to do a talk on Australia in German. Pain. In PE we just did little games which were quite fun and let the time pass quickly. The walk home was dangerous but pretty funny. I kept slipping on the ice left over from the snow, just lucky I didn't slip over. It was weird because Cemi wasn't too good with walking on the ice, and I was better. She's meant to be used to it! Ok, that's all folks. I hope everyone has a good day. Or night. Lots of love.

With Blocked Ears
Hey. So it's a Thursday at 2pm and I'm home from school with a Viral Infection. Both of my ears are blocked, as well as my nose, I get dizzy and I've got a minor headache. I went to the doctors yesterday and he was quite nice. He said my levels of something are up and my levels of something else are down. No idea what he was talking about but the final analysis was that I have a viral infection. He gave me a doctors certificate (as you need those here to get any days off school) for yesterday, today and tomorrow. So it will give me some time to rest and make some Christmas cards. In other news, all of my friends are finished school and my cousin is also finished. We have school right up until the 23rd which is totally annoying. But I'm quite happy as the Singletons are coming here on Monday and then on Saturday we're all going up to Sörenberg. I find that it's way easier to go to school when we have visitors. I found that when the Hawkes were here, when Andrew, Soo and the boys were here, and also when the Singletons were here last. It's also good having Nanna here. Time just seems to drag when we're alone. On the weekend Nanna and us all went to Celerina which is near St. Moritz and we had a good weekend snowboarding/skiing up there. I fell over a million times and it was absolutely freezing, but it was a good trip. Yesterday Mum, Zo, Alex and I went shopping to finish up our Christmas outfits. I got some ankle boots and some pink tights which will go with my black dress I have previously bought. Zoe and Alex bought some flats each. I also bought a present for a Swiss friend at a cute little shop called Claire's. This would be Caitlin's dream. It's filled with little wallets, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, phone holders and a whole range of other really cute, adorable things. I really like it but the only thing is it's a little expensive. Ok, I better go. My ear's all blocking up, I need some drops. Hope everyone is having a good day/night. xx

I'm Not a Gymnast OK??
Today was the day in the middle of the week, the day that you say if you get through, you can survive the rest. In the morning I did 3 lessons of maths, two of Aussie maths then one of the Swiss maths and then Geography. At the moment we're working on our projects which is a giant pain in my bum because I'm going t have to give it in German. D: I have no idea when we're presenting it, so that's a little thing to worry about. After lunch today I had PE. We have to do a test on the gymnastic rings soon and I really have no idea what I'm doing. I don't really have enough muscle strength. My hands also hurt a whole lot which just makes everything worse. Oh well, I guess I'll survive. In the past week I've realised just how awesome Maddy is. Like I've always known that she was awesome but I've realised in the past week just how awesome she is. She's planning my welcome home party, she's already got the time plan worked out and she's got a surprise for me. She's really great. Ok, I have nothing else to say. Everyone enjoy their time of the day. Cya.

The Freezing Fingers
So hi everyone. It's a Thursday night here in Swissyland and it's currently 0˚. Zoe and I just went to play tennis and it was freezing! We were wearing gloves but our fingertips felt like they were going to drop off. Just so you know, I won, 6-3, and as you can see we thought it was too cold to play another set.
So today was pretty boring. I had double maths in the morning which was a pain in the butt but I knew the stuff we were doing so it was easy. Then I had German with the girls and Herr Dahinden seemed more annoying than usual. We played a game with mandarins as the prize. I won 5 mandarins but as I'm a little scared of the peels I gave them to Alex. After lunch it was back to German D: then Science. Grr, I hate it. We have another test next week. Our teacher gives us waaaay too many tests! I'm probably going to fail. Oh well, I guess I won't know until I do it. Should be fun. Ok, bye everyone. Have a nice day/night. love from me xx

Just a Blab
This is just a rant about anything that comes to my brain.
Ok, firstly I had a maths test today. I totally failed. I know what you're thinking. "She probably just thinks she failed, like you do, but she actually aced it". I'm assuring you that's not the case. There were worded questions and I couldn't understand them. I didn't even know we had a test. Shows how much people want to help me. Eh, probably wouldn't have done much anyway.
Then after lunch I had English. Which, usually, are the most boringest two lessons of the week. But today it wasn't so boring, but not for a good reason. My class are giving talks on English speaking countries in English so my teacher decides it's an excellent idea for me to do it in German. I'm really worried but I'll deal with it.
The last lesson of the day was PE. We did a bit of running at the start which was ok, then we played a game. It was with two teams and each team has a side. You have to chuck the ball at people and if it hits them they go out and one person goes in from your team. It's ok, and we played that for the whole lesson. So PE was survivable.
I've been thinking about coming home lately, as there's only 7 weeks to go. I've been thinking of all the things that are going to be hard and the things that I think I will struggle with. The obvious thing is school. I actually received mail today from my assistant principal containing my booklist and some work I have to complete for my VCE Literature course. I am kind of stressing about that, and maths. They're my main two worries school wise. One of my other worries is my weight. I've actually gained a few kilos while I've been here, I'm hoping once I get back in my usual routine in Australia it'll go down a bit but who knows. I just worry about that.
Currently I'm practicing my touch typing that I learn at school. It's a weird lesson but I always get full marks. It's hard but I'm getting there.
Ok bye purple people eaters.

Just as a little extra, I thought I'd throw in Cemi's version of Cry by Rihanna.
She sings really well. Hope you like it.

Thursday Night
Yo everyone.
It's Thursday night and I'm beyond bored so I just thought I'd write a little something into my blog.
"And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, You make me sing,
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything,
You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,
And you light me up, when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery, you're from outer space,
You're every minute of my everyday."
-- Everything, Michael Bublé
I'm just going to randomly add those in. Just of songs I love. Anyway, today was ok. I had double maths first which is a real pain in the backside. I hate it but I get through it. Then I came home for a bit, but not long as I had to go back for German. It was ok, we played a mini game which made things go a bit faster. After lunch I had another lesson of German which was ok. My teacher just told me to write a paragraph on my favourite author, Stephenie Meyer. I survived that pretty well.
"It's amazing
How you can speak
Right to my heart
Without saying a word,
You can light up the dark
Try as I may
I could never explain
What I hear when
You don't say a thing"
-- When You Don't Say a Thing, Ronan Keating
After German it was on to Science. Todays Science went pretty fast comared to usual standards. I just copied some things onto my worksheets and sat there staring aimlessly at the opposite wall. Oh, and Cemi and I had to solve a question together and we got it right. Not that I really did any of the work but oh well. Lol.
"Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock n Roll band
Who'll throw it all away"
-- Don't Look Back in Anger, Oasis
Ok, I'm going to go now. Everyone have a good night/day.
Ps. Lol Sandy. <3

Good Old Hamlet
Hey everyone. Just thought I'd write again, catch up on some news. The Singleton's left on Tuesday morning to go up to Glesson, so it's just been us again in the house. I had a day off today. Didn't really do much. Went for a bike ride while Dad ran and went shopping. I also called one of my bestest friends, Nat. She had some news she wanted me to post on a blog. Sandy, aka Hamlet, locked herself in the toilet at work experience. Which for her just happened to be the police station. Four policemen, I repeat, four policemen had to come and "rescue" her from the toilet. Just thought everyone should know that because it's hilarious and Sandy's funny. =] Anyway, in other news I have double maths tomorrow which is going to suck! I hate double maths, it's unbelievably boring and I don't really understand much of what's going on. I just can't wait for the weekend. I have to clean the window shutters and do some normal house work, but it will still be better than school. Oh the boringness of it.
Ok, bye bye for now.
Ok, bye bye for now.

Had a Nice Trip
Hey peoples,
Today is always the worst day of the week and today definitely lived up to that quota. First, I had a 7.15am start which are always painful, especially on Mondays. I had double Handicraft and I'm currently making a scarf. It's all different shades of purple and it's pretty. I can't actually knit so I making it with a different method. I have no idea what it's called. Then I got to come home for a lesson and then I took Hann and Kiti into school for the break. Everyone thought they were pretty cute and they thought Matt was a bit strange. Lol. Then I had German and that was extremely boring, I just translated some words for our private German class. Then Maths. I hate it. I have no idea what I'm doing. But it doesn't bother me.
Then it was lunch time where I did normal lunch time stuff. Went on the computer, ate, read, etc. Then it was back to school for double English! It's the most boringest 2 lessons ever! I ended up translating again! Then it was History. Also mind numbingly boring. I also did translating in that. :( Then last was PE. First we played Basketball which I'm ok at, but the only problem is I fell over. It was quite funny but I hurt my tooshy. Then we played soccer which I suck at. I had a little accident in that too. I tripped Cemi over and fell over myself on the way. I'm such a klutz. Anyway. Pretty annoying day. I hope everyone else's was better.

Down in the Dumps

Hey everyone. I have no idea why, but I'm feeling a little down. I think it might be due to the fact that I'm leaving soon. Yeah, I've had a bad year but I've met some awesome people and it's making me sad to think I'll probably never see any of them again. It's not likely that they'll travel to Australia any time soon and I think it'll be a while before I come back. It's just making me a little sad. Ok, I think I'm going to go.

Too Much Cadbury
So Katrina, Charles, Matthew, Hannah and Kiti all arrived yesterday from Australia. It's been awesome to catch up again, even if there's one change I'm not so happy about. Matt is taller than me!! How can this happen?! Lol, it's just no good, I'm the older one, I'm supposed to be the taller one! Oh well, I guess I'll live.
They brought over some Cadbury chocolate and Zoe, Alex, Mum and I ate it all last night, we have none left now! The Singleton kids just laughed at us. We even thought it was quite funny and we tried to do it inconspicuously. It didn't really work, but we gave it a go. :D
Tonight we watched an episode of Lano & Woodley, so funny! "Love. Love each other? We want to destroy each other!!" Man, I love that!! At the moment Kiti and Hann are sleeping in my room and Matt's in Alex's and Zoe's room. Last night, Kiti and Hann woke up at about 4am and that blow up bed is so loud! Then, Kiti was asking me questions because she couldn't get back to sleep, I just ended up saying that I had school the next morning. It was pretty funny though.
Actually, I like waking up in the middle of the night and knowing that i have about 4 or 5 hours to sleep. It doesn't happen very often but I tend to like it. I hate waking up at about 6am or so, then I only have 1/2 - 1 hour left. That tends to happen quite a bit.
I'm really enjoying having the Singletons here, I hope we'll have heaps of fun from here on out.

The Giant L
Hi everyone. I'm just really bored so I thought I'd write a little entry to my blog.
Nothing much has been going on here lately, but it's a day off for Dagmersellen school students today. The girls are out with friends, both shopping I think, and I'm just hanging around the house with a giant L on my forehead.
The Singletons are coming on Wednesday which is really awesome, I'm looking forward to it so much. I've missed them so much this year and it's going to be great to see them. We're also doing a Kris Kringle with the kids which should be interesting, I'm still trying to figure out what to make for mine.
I can't believe Christmas is this close! Only 6 and a half weeks away. It's going to be so fun and then we get to come home! That is going to be awesome. I seriously can't wait.
Ok, that's it from me for now. Cya dudes.

SO HAPPY!
HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!
I just thought I'd write a little something 'coz I'm so happy!
I found out which subjects I get next year and I got all the ones I want!
Methods, Bio, Info Tech, History and Lit 3&4. I'm so happy!
But the thing I'm even more happy about is that, except for Info Tech,
I'm with Maddy for ALL of my subjects. :D She's not doing a 6th
subject so I've actually got one more than her. It's so cool!
I just can't believe we got in all of our classes together! I know it's going to help me!
I'm just so happy. Just thought I'd let everyone know. Cya then. :)

Tie Lace
Stupid Myspace is being dumb and not letting me log in! I want to kill it! Of course, the one time I really really want it it stuffs up! Well, I'd probably say that any day but still, it's what you say when these things happen.
So I had a Geography test today, I most likely failed but it doen't bother me too much. It was about America and their countries and things they import and export. Pretty boring stuff. I didn't understand some of the questions but oh well.
I have to go back to school after lunch for PE and Info Tech which I really can't be bothered to do. Anyway. I'm going now. Cyas all. Madxx

La Mejor Noche
Hey People,
I'm here to tell you about the awesome night I had last night. The day was just average, hanging around home, watching Greys Anatomy, the usual. But the night was extraordinary.
We have the other Komp's with us but they're leaving today so last night was our last night together. So, of course, we did something special. We decided to go to the Kegal Bahn which is a bit like 10 pin bowling but different and it has 9 pins. We had Alex's friend Moni join us and we had a really great time. Dad won! I didn't really score very high but that didn't bother me. After the bowling Sam, Mitch, Zo, Alex, Moni and I went to the little mini playground near by and ran on a spinny wheel. I grazed my leg but it was still awesome fun.
On the walk home, Mitch, Soo, Zo and I were together. We had alot of fun dancing and Soo taught us some Scottish dancing. Zoe and I were puffed out by the end but we had so much fun! At the end Zo slipped on some snow which, for Soo, Mitch and I, was hilarious. I think even Zoe was cracking herself.
When we arrived home, Mum put on a CD and the first song that came on was 'Another One Rides the Bus' and Zo and I went off our nut dancing and singing. We were so so tired at the end but it was totally worth it. :D
For dinner we had Raclette which is a cheese and potato meal where each cooks their own food. It's a really social meal and it was really good. A little while after everyone except Sam, who went to bed, sat down a played a good game of 31. It was down to Dad and Soo in the end as it was the last time and once again, Soo had the winning card. After that game Alex, Zo and Mitch went to bed and Soo, Andrew, Dad, Mum and I played another game of 31. This time Mum had the glory. I stayed up a while, talking, watching Carl Baron and laughing until my tummy hurt. It was a great end to the night.
I had heaps of fun and I'm going to miss the Komp's very much.

Snow Gloop
So, everywhere is snow covered and cold. It kind of feels like a fairytale, but in fairytales generally everyone wears short sleeves and acts like it's not at a temperature that makes every bit of your body shiver. Ok, maybe it's not thaat bad here but I still find it pretty cold. ^^
Yesterday it wasn't so snowy, it was all melting into the ground but it seemed colder. Oh, and it was actually snowing. When Carmen and I were walking to school our hands were freezing off from holding our umbrellas. Snow is just like rain except colder so it's not too fabulous.
Ok, I'm going to get going. Everyone have a nice day/night. Lol. Bye.

Away
Yeah, so I was away in Sörenberg for the weekend. It was a good break away from Dagmersellen and the weather was great! We were up there with Andrew, Soo, Mitch and Sam as they're staying with us at the moment.
We went walking for a bit but I was a bit lazy, as were a few others so we stopped after only a little while. We went up the mountain also which had an awesome view of Sörenberg. Down below it was super cloudy and the view of the clouds from above was AMAZING! We had lunch up the top of the mountain then came down and went on the taboggan. We had a great time and were speeding around the track.
Now we're back and ready for school. Well, not ready but you know what I mean. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Byez.

Linear Kills
Hey everyone. I'm back again. Just reporting on my day. I had double maths in the morning which seriously, is the most annoying thing ever!! At the moment we're doing circles, like finding the middle point but the language barrier is hard to cross. I'm not understanding too much. Grrr. Anyway, after maths I came home for a lesson to do Aussie maths. I HATE LINEAR! Seriously, whoever invented it is dead. Well, they actually are but you know what I mean. I'm planning to do the Semester 1 Year 10 maths exam soon. Should be interesting. ;( I had a really great lunch time. I was able to talk to Steff and it was awesome, really cheered me up. Then after lunch I had a science test! I reckon I did ok, I lernt everything I was meant to. I didn't particulary know what it meant but I lernt it. Tomorrow is my cooking day so that means a 7.15am start! Should be fun, but when it's over I'll be happy.
This weekend my family and the other Komp's are going away to Sorenberg. I'm hoping there will be some snow but it's probably too early at the moment. When we go later in the year there should be some snow so there's still hope. I'm really looking forward to this trip. :D

My Besties
sWell apart from my dumb school, I am now at a loss for what to write. So I've decided to write about my friends because they mean so much to me.

Maddy. She's my best friend. My confidant. The person who knows me so well and I would trust with my life. We have many things in common - we're both Bulldogs supporters, we both think My Chemical Romance are awesome and we both stress over minor things. She's awesome. Right now she's doing it pretty hard. Last year she was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. I'm not happy that I'm over here but what makes it harder is knowing that Maddy is over there needing me.

Nat. The funniest, awesomest person ever. She can always make me laugh even when I'm in the worst of moods. She laughs at her own jokes which makes it easier to laugh at her. She gives the best hugs! BOURKEWENTZ's Forever!

Swissy School
Hey again,
I just thought I'd give an update on random things.
I had my first day of my second week back at school. Mondays are the most boring day of the week, which also makes them the worst. Not only is it the first day of the week which is always a drag but it includes double English which is the second most boring thing ever except lawn bowls. Maybe I'd even rather watch a full match of that rather than go to English class. Anyway, I'll start by telling you about my day so far. I had a stupid stupid stupid 7.15am class so it was wakey wakeys nice and early. The 7.15 class was Handwork and this morning we made dumb little things out of a harder version of Play-do. It wasn't hard but the level of boringness took over all else. After handwork I had a free lesson which is totally annoying. Like I can be bothered coming home for an hour then going straight back to school!! Anyway, I came home and Soo straightened my hair which looks absolutely AWESOME! She has a GHD and it straightened my hair in about 10 minutes!! No straightener ever does that. It was amazing. Then I went back to school and suffered through German and Maths. Now I'm home for another 14 minutes. Wish me luck in English!

Yo Purple People Eaters
Hey Everyone,
This is obviously, my first blog entry. I decided to make this blog for three reasons.
1. I was extremly bored
2. My bestie Maddy was making one and it sounded like a good idea
3. It's a good way to express myself as I can't be stuffed writing a diary.
It's going to be about life. My life. Just things that happen, major events, minor somethings that happen. As I'm currently living in Switzerland I feel it's good way to vent. But also I'll be able to keep this going when I go back to Australia too. So yeah, if you want to know about me check out my profile. Hope you enjoy future blogs and stuff.
